How to Wrap a Gift Certificate By an eHow Contributor

Found This Helpful

Gift cards are not just the easy way out of gift giving. You must take time to consider where the person goes for relaxation, what kind of food they like, and what they would like to do, but will never spend the money on themselves to do. Wrapping the gift certificate can be just as fun and important as the thought put into the gift.

Instructions

  • 1. Decorate a brown lunch bags with stickers, stamps and ribbons to give a gift card to a favorite lunch restaurant that you and your friend go to often.

  • 2. Print out pictures of popular toys or toy ads from the Sunday paper to wrap around a box containing a child's gift card to a toys store. You can change this idea up for sporting good store gift cards, and other specialty shops.

  • 3. Place a gift card for the movies or to rent a movie, in a bucket of un-popped popcorn with some cans or bottles of soda and candy.

  • 4. Tie a gift card to the end of a dozen balloons. Buy some of the balloons that name the special occasion already written on them. This is great for a 50th birthday gift with black balloons and a gift card to a fancy restaurant.

  • 5. Buy a spa gift card or certificate and place it in the pocket of a nice terrycloth robe or into the foot of some comfy slippers. Gift cards for lingerie can be wrapped in silk with beautiful ribbons.

Tips & Warnings

  • Christmas gift cards can be wrapped over and over and over again in tons of Christmas wrapping paper and then stuffed into a small stocking. The recipient may know that it is a gift card, but it will take them a while to know what place it is to.
